KrisEnergy has commenced drilling of the Rossukon-3ST sidetrack exploration well in G6/48 in the Gulf of Thailand. Rossukon-3ST is the fourth well to be drilled in the G6/48 contract area in 2015 following successful results for the Rossukon-2, Rossukon-2ST and Rossukon-3 wells.

Australia: AWE's onshore Perth Basin well Irwin-1 intersects primary target and reports elevated gas shows

AWE has advised that the Irwin-1 exploration well, located in the onshore Perth Basin, Western Australia, has so far penetrated 120m of the primary target formation, the Dongara/Wagina sandstones, with elevated gas shows observed.

China: Technip awarded FEED contract for the Liuhua fields in the South China Sea

Technip and its consortium partner China Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC) have been awarded a front end engineering design (FEED) contract by CNOOC Ltd for two tension leg platforms (TLPs) for the Liuhua 11-1 and 16-2 joint development project located in the South China Sea.

Indonesia: Lion Energy reports encouraging results from Lofin-2 with testing planned

Lion Energy reports that the Lofin-2 well has reached temporary total depth of 5471m MD/5128m SSTVD within the Manusela Formation objective. Wireline logging is currently underway, to be followed by open-hole flow testing to evaluate the shows encountered in the Manusela limestone section.

Philippines says Shell-operated Malampaya resumes gas deliveries

The Philippines said that a local unit of Shell had resumed natural gas deliveries from the country's Malampaya field to three major power plants after a month-long shutdown, but energy supply on the main island of Luzon remains tight.

Indonesia gas deficit to triple over next 10 years - Pertamina CEO

Indonesia's domestic gas production in 2015 is expected to fall short of demand by 1.5 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd), with the deficit increasing up to 4.5 bcfd by 2025, state-owned energy firm Pertamina told parliament on Wednesday.

PNG: Papua New Guinea in talks to raise billions to fund oil and gas plans

Australia: Transerv Energy preparing to drill Warro 5 and 6 wells in the Perth Basin

Australia: Zeta Resources makes A$29.4 million bid for Pan Pacific Petroleum

Zeta Resources, the ASX-listed investment group advised by Duncan Saville's ICM unit, has made a full takeover bid for Pan Pacific Petroleum, valuing the target company at A$29.4 million. Zeta currently owns 16.8 percent of Pan Pacific.
