China ends near decade of rising Iraq crude oil orders

SeaBird Exploration announces letter of award for source work in SE Asia region

SeaBird Exploration has received a letter of award (LOA) for source work for one of its vessels in the South East Asia region. It is estimated that the client will charter the vessel for 30-35 days starting early April 2015. The contract will have an estimated value of USD 3.5 - 4.0 million.

The Jenners Prospect is a four-way dip closed anticline defined by the 2013 Dundinna 3D seismic survey. Jenners-1 is targeting the Tinchoo, Poolowanna and Birkhead Formations and the Hutton Sandstone.

InterOil has notified the Papua New Guinea Department of Petroleum and Energy of a discovery at the Bobcat-1 exploration well in PPL476. New Zealand has announced 15 new petroleum exploration permits have been granted for Block Offer 2014 today. The permits include six onshore permits across the Taranaki, West Coast and East Coast basins. Carnarvon has agreed to sell its remaining 20% interest in its Thai assets to the Berlanga Group for a total cash consideration of US$58.21 million (A$68.5 million).
