US market indexes open slightly lower, led by declines in energy stocks as price of oil falls

Stocks are opening slightly lower, led by declines in the energy sector as the price of oil continues to fall. The Standard & Poor's 500 index fell three points, or 0.2 per cent, to 2,014 as of 9:35 a.m. Eastern time Tuesday.
